Word of the day: fatigued
We will be cross-country skiing at the soccer pitch/ball diamonds tomorrow, Thursday and Friday afternoons, weather permitting. (If it's colder than minus 10 or 12, we'll save it for another time.) Please make sure your child has warm, dry mitts and a warm hat for the afternoon. Also, since cross country skiers get pretty warm from all the exercise, it would be great if the students could wear a hoodie or lighter warm jacket under their regular outerwear. That way, if anyone gets too warm, they can take off their big jacket and still have something more than a t-shirt to ski in. We're going to head over to ski around 1:30; any parents who'd like to come over and help attach skis to boots? (We've fitted everyone for skis and boots here at the school, but if your child has his/her own equipment, please send it along.)
Just another quick reminder to put names inside all your child's outerwear: mitts, toques, snow pants, boots, parkas ... it's amazing how many lovely pieces of clothing never make it out of the lost and found here.
