Word of the day: translucent

The first graders have a list of pirate spelling words to practise for this week. Study harrrghd!

The first graders dressed in pirate garb and had a treasure hunt through the halls of JES this morning - some fun!

This Friday is "Food Dress Up Day". Students are invited (but not required!) to dress as an item of food. This should be an intersting one!

This Friday afternoon the school is hosting an assembly to honour parent and community volunteers. The assembly will begin at 2:30 and will be held in the school gym. Mark it on your calendars!

Mrs. Hibberd has been guiding the class through some exciting "Boats and Bouyancy" activities. (Who knew you could make a boat out of plasticine?)
