What a super assembly we were treated to today! Jason Bartsiokas gave a presentation on his amazing artistic helmets - very impressive! As well, the students showcased a lot of circus talent in a very polished presentation - one that included a strong man, a magician, some clowning around, a juggler, a pair of acrobats and some "hoopsters". Lots of students from Room Four got dressed up for the event. Here's a peek at how they looked!
The first graders had a fun morning on their cross-country skis. Here's some photos of our first xc ski event.
We are planning to ski again tomorrow - weather permitting, of course. As well, we are planning to go sliding at Centennial Park tomorrow afternoon, leaving right after afternoon attendance. Please send appropriate clothing, a ski helmet, and something to slide on tomorrow. (Don't worry if you don't have a helmet or a sled - the school has helmets to borrow and we can share sleds.)
Remember that the student council is inviting everyone to wear pink or red tomorrow, to help celebrate Valentine's Day.
It's been a busy week - beginning with the celebration of Hundred Day on Monday. We did lots of things in 100s, including constructing creations with 100 pieces.
The at-home reading for today is The Brave Hunter. Enjoy!
