Word of the day: vast
The first graders have a "Students' Choice" spelling list this week. All the words on the list have been selected by the students. They've given themselves some challenges! We've added Anzu's name (written in Japanese) as a special challenge - let's see what happens Friday! This will be our final week of spelling - study hard everyone, and we'll finish with our best results of the year.
This will also be our final week of the "Golden Envelope" program - but hopefully everyone will keep up their great daily reading, even without a teacher checking up.
We're keeping a weather eye out for our field trips scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday. If it's miserable (i.e. raining) on those days, we'll reschedule. We'll keep you posted.
